CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS Hottest Ticket Contest
The Contest
The contest is only open to residents of Ontario who are 18 years and older and who live in and within a 50 mile radius of the City of Toronto. Employees, immediate family members of employees (and those with whom such employees and immediate family members are domiciled) of Rogers Cable Communications Inc. (“Rogers”) and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (“MLSE”) (collectively, the “Contest Sponsors”) the National Hockey League and its Member Teams, and each of their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, owners, governors, agents, their advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to enter.
The Contest Period starts at 12:00 pm on Wednesday January 23 rd, 2008 and continues until 11:59 pm on Friday August 29 th , 2008 , the Contest Closing Date. All Times are Eastern Times. No Purchase Necessary.
- HOW TO ENTER: There are two (2) ways to enter the contest:
(a) Visit the Rogers Kiosk at the Air Canada Centre on the 100 or 300 level at any time from the opening of the gates until the start of the third period during any Toronto Maple Leafs home game on the dates indicated in the Schedule below. Complete an original (photocopies, facsimiles or other reproductions will not be eligible) entry ballot obtained at the Rogers Kiosk and deposit the completed ballot in the designated ballot boxes at the Rogers Kiosk prior to the completion of the game. Limit of one (1) entry per person, per game. Multiple entries by the same person on the same night will result in disqualification.

(b) Enter the contest online by completing the online contest questions and providing all required information at www.mapleleafs.com/contests anytime before the Contest Closing Date. Limit of one (1) online entry per person per day. Entrants submitting a greater number of entries will be disqualified.
- PRIZES.
Entrants are eligible to win one (1) GRAND PRIZE , having an approximate retail value of $15,000 CDN and consisting of:
- Four (4) tickets to attend each of the 41 Toronto Maple Leafs 2008-2009 regular season home games (the “game(s)”) at Air Canada Centre, for a total of 164 tickets. Playoff tickets are not included. Tickets are not renewable and will be for the 2008-2009 season only. Winner will not obtain any rights in and to the seating to which the tickets relate other than the right to attend at the game in question in those seats.
Due to the nature of the promotional prizing, no alternate dates for the games are available. All incidental costs and expenses not specifically included above, including, without limitation, transportation to and from Air Canada Centre, souvenirs, food and beverages, items of a personal nature, are the sole responsibility of winner and his/her guests. In the event the winner and/or his/her guests cannot attend any or all games, for whatever reason, any unused portion of the prize will be forfeited. In the event that a scheduled game is not played in whole or in part, that portion of the prize will be forfeited and no alternate prize or compensation will be awarded.
Precise seating to be determined by Contest Sponsors in their sole discretion. Seats may not be the same for all games and seats may not be adjacent to each other. All standard terms and conditions applicable to the tickets and attendance at Air Canada Centre will be applicable to tickets awarded and to the winner and his/her guests that attend the games.
No financial compensation will be made when or if actual value of the prize is different to approximate retail value quoted in these rules.
- DRAW
(a) A Random draw will be made at approximately 2:00 pm on September 3 rd, 2008 at Rogers’ offices at One Mount Pleasant, 4 th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M4W 2Y5by a representative of the Contest Sponsors from among all entries received during the Contest Period. The Selected entrant will be contacted by telephone within twenty-four (24) hours following the draw by the telephone number provided on the contest entry form.
(b) If any selected entrant cannot be reached within seven (7) business days of first attempt at contact, incorrectly answers the skill-testing question, declines the prize, or fails to return a release of liability as may be specified below, Contest Sponsors reserve the right to select another entrant or to cancel the prize.
- To be declared a winner, selected entrants must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question posed by telephone at a mutually convenient time and must return a signed release of liability and acknowledgment form as required by the Contest Sponsors. Contest judges' rulings are final and without appeal in all matters related to the promotion and the awarding of prizes. The contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
- By entering this Contest, entrants consent to the use of their entry, name, city of residence and/or any photograph of or that may be taken in publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsors and/or their advertising agencies, without further notice or compensation.
- No communications will be entered into except with selected entrants. The name of the winner will be posted online www.mapleleafs.com/contests or alternatively, send a postage-paid, self-addressed envelope on or before the Contest Closing Dateto: " Toronto Maple leafs SEASON TICKET CONTEST One Mount Pleasant, 4 th Floor, Toronto, Ontario, M4W 2Y5before the Contest Closing Date. - Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the draw. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, abusive, or have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of the rules may be disqualified by the Contest Sponsors, without further notice at their sole discretion. Contest Sponsors take no responsibility for lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries, or for typographical or other production errors. Contest Sponsors are not responsible for any errors or omissions in printing or advertising this Contest. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsors and will not be returned.
- Rogers is collecting personal data about entrants for the purpose of administering this Contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be received by entrants unless entrants provide Rogers with explicit permission to do. Please see Rogers’ Privacy Policy at www.rogers.com for information on their policy towards maintaining the privacy and security of user information.
- By entering this Contest, entrants release and hold harmless the Contest Sponsors, the National Hockey League and its Member Teams, their respective advertising and promotional agencies, and the contest judge(s), their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with this Contest or, if declared a winner, the prize(s) awarded and use thereof. Without limitation to the standard terms and conditions associated with use of the tickets awarded, the winner (a) releases Contest Sponsors, the National Hockey League, its Member Teams, their affiliates and respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, dealers, representatives, successors and assigns from any and all liability resulting from any incident related to the games; (b) acknowledges that management of the games reserves the right to refuse admission and/or to expel from the premises any person whose presence or conduct is deemed by it to be objectionable, expulsion cancels the ticket(s) to the game and the holder thereupon forfeits all claims, including any claim to refund, tickets which are or are deemed to be lost or stolen will not be honoured; and, admission to all games is subject to compliance with all applicable laws, by-laws, regulations and facility rules; failure to comply may result in non-admission or expulsion. Before being declared a winner, entrants may be required to sign and return, within a stipulated period of time, a Declaration of Compliance with the Contest Rules and a full Liability and Publicity Release. By accepting a prize, winners consent to the use of their name, place of residence, voice, statements, photographs or other likenesses for publicity, advertising or informational purposes in any medium or format without further compensation or notice.
- This Contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by the Contest Sponsors. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the Contest. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
- Contest Sponsors assume no responsibility for failure of the internet or the website during the promotional period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.
- The Contest Sponsors may terminate, modify, suspend or withdraw from this Contest (and/or any aspect thereof, including methods for selection of the prize winners), in whole or in part, at any time without notice for any reason, without liability, at their sole discretion, including, without limitation the delay or cancellation of the National Hockey League game for which the Grand Prize is awarded. In the event a substitute prize is awarded, such prize must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or otherwise.
- Contest Sponsors reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest, or any portion thereof, should a virus, bug or other cause beyond their reasonable control corrupt the security or proper administration of the Contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Rogers reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
- If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual assigned to the e-mail address for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may be required to provide proof of being the authorized account holder of the e-mail address associated with the selected entry. All entries must be submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this contest will be the contest server machine(s).
- Each prize must be accepted as awarded and no prize substitutions of cash or otherwise or transfer of the prize will be made, provided that the Contest Sponsors may make prize substitutions of equal or greater value.
